As many fans of music know, the lyrical parts of a song are usually the most important and integral pieces to a particular song or piece’s success. Many times these words are the only part of a song that fans will remember or be able to recognize in an instant. In addition, it is common for artists to make the leap into becoming a superstar when they come out with great lyrics for their new hits. But the truth is that not every artist in the world who is selling CDs and concert tickets has great lyrics to their work, or any at all for that matter. You might be wondering, how can music be good without meaningful words, much less having no words at all? This article should help to answer that question and change the common notion that all great music must have unbelievable lyrics as well. To start out with, it is important to realize that music is not just the songs a person can hear on a radio. In fact, the first pieces of music were almost exclusively played in a concert hall. In this setting, a group of different instruments play in unison to a conductor’s movements. There are no words because quite simply there doesn’t need to be any. Some of the most famous musical work in the world, and oldest at that, is often played in this style. While not popular with the youth today, classical music, as it is often termed, often goes hand in hand with being upper-class. Whether this is a fair pairing or not, that is debatable. But this much is true, many people find deeper meaning and enjoy this style of music without looking for words to accompany they harmony of the instruments! On the other hand, a popular selection at almost any night or dance club is techno music. Techno music is often generated on a computer, and combines wacky sounding drum beats and other instrumental sounds to make a song that sounds like it was electronically produced. This music has many different beats and often is extremely easy to dance to. While it can have words, it is more common for techno songs to be without any human voices, or to use them sparingly. Even with the absence of almost any words at all, however, techno music remains a popular choice on any dance floor and it would be hard to find a club that doesn’t play at least one song. Indeed there are even some popular techno artists, whose main musical talents lie in creating new beats and remixing past billboard toppers! All in all, it should be fairly obvious by now that a song doesn’t have to have lyrics to be considered worth listening to. Many different types and genres of music embedded in our society today are, in fact, found without any words at all. Whether it be rich classical music that your grandparents listen to, or fast-moving techno music that you dance to, words are not as important as they may seem initially.

Selling photographs online create and profit from a simple digital product
Selling photographs online is a challenging goal for any photographer, no matter what unique level of talent or ability. But, if you do have a small folio of images already and you want to 'look at' the options available to you, read on... One option might be to upload a selection of your better images to stock photo libraries and micro stock image agencies. Indeed, this is a solid, long term, asset building solution, but you may not see photo sales for some time. It could take weeks, or even months. And, there's no real guarantee that you'll make sales either. Micro stock agency images have very low returns per image, and that means to make it worth your while, you really need to see high numbers of downloads (sales). However this option holds great potential. The thing is that when we start thinking about the whole selling photographs online 'photo business' approach, we find that, at any given moment, we're faced with a bewildering number of methods to promote our work. Everything from printable postcards, to calendars, down-loadable prints, e-cards, screen-savers, eBay, scrap-booking, original prints, and whole lots more... And you could work any of these successfully to bring an income in. But, at the end of the day, a photographer still needs some 'marketing savvy' and understanding to really make a dint in the marketplace. Hiding your head in the sand and refusing to learn marketing will not really help your 'photo business' income to magically appear. So, with all these options out there, where does one start? Well... one of the simplest ways to start off building your unique 'brand of one' is by creating a simple digital product. Maybe you're thinking "what's this got to do with photography?" The answer is, a great deal. But firstly, let's define what a digital product is: A digital file basic definition is... "a computer file or special information that you can access online or have delivered electronically." Examples of digital items are software, an image taken with a digital camera, a word processor file, an ebook, an MP3 audio file, an original recipe, etc. The amazing thing about digital products is that they can have unlimited inventory, no shipping costs and extremely high profit margins. Digital products are a terrific, and powerful, 'modern day' solution for any photographer, no matter what skill level. A quick 'digital product' example might be to interview a very successful photographer, or write about your own unique photography talents, and turn this into an electronic book (ebook). You could then either sell this ebook, or give it away to people who sign up to your web site's newsletter. Either way, it builds your 'expert status' as well as making you an income. This digital photo book not only promotes the other photographer's work, but yours too. You quickly are on your way to becoming known as an expert. You can also add affiliate links inside this digital photo book, so that people reading this click through and potentially make you extra sales, down the track. Sure, this is just one solution, but don't you think it holds great potential? Even better if your ebook taps into one area or niche that many photographers are keen to learn more about. And, by the way, after the initial hard work is done, and apart from marketing your product, your costs are really quite low, and your time spent minimal. If your ebook provides valuable material you'll find visitors will go on to your website in search of more helpful, relevant information. Just imagine what you might be able to turn into a digital product... What about the same interview as an MP3 audio product, podcast, or turned into a down-loadable online video? Are you beginning to see the potential here? Creating a digital product is possibly one of the fastest ways to become known as an expert and to get your selling photographs online journey started. You can do it without difficulty and with little experience. Now all you really need to do, is just do it! Copyright Martin Hurley 2007

Racing holiday for the whole family
If you have a hobby, why not incorporate it into your next vacation? For instance, if you are a fan of racing cars or watching car races, you can plan your next holiday around the race track. Hopefully your family is as enthusiastic as you are. There are many ways to accomplish a racing vacation. What is your aim? Do you want to learn more about the sport? Do you want to learn how to drive a race car? Do you want to watch the best races? Discuss your options with a travel agent. Many agencies offer package deals for racing on your holiday. There are specialized sports agencies that will plan your vacations around your sport of choice and provide all requisite tickets for you. If you are interested in learning more about the sport of racing, you can visit one of the many car museums beside the nation’s most famous tracks. Daytona has a terrific museum that explores the history of racing through exhibits and displays of famous cars. You can also purchase the best racing memorabilia near the tracks themselves. You can load up on clothes and souvenirs. If you subscribe to a package deal with a travel sports agency, you can expect some great perks. Some companies offer question and answer sessions with real NASCAR drivers on your vacation. You can also choose a Formula One holiday or a Grand Prix vacation. There are many options for fun holidays, so make sure you find the best one for you. Try to get discounts on airfare, hotel rooms, and food as well as racing tickets. It never hurts to ask and a good travel agent will be able to find you the best package deals. Many racing fans choose to indulge themselves and spend their vacations in racecar driving school. Imagine being behind the wheel of one of the racecars you’ve only seen from afar. You can fly around the track at breakneck speed after receiving instruction from the best in the business. It helps to be in great physical shape if you are going to learn how to drive a race car. It’s not like driving in an SUV, eating McDonalds from the bag in your lap. Driving a racecar is physically very taxing and it works muscles that you wouldn’t expect. Be prepared to be exhausted after your lessons. Also make sure you eat plenty beforehand (although not too much – you don’t want to lose your meal around one of those breakneck curves) and that you have a valid driver’s license. In a class environment, you don’t have to feel pressured to be the best. It will be a long time before you’ll be racing anyone. You won’t have the same anxiety as you did when you went to driving school as a teenager. Remember, your fellow classmates are also on vacation and they’re there to have fun. Relax and try to make some friends in the racing world. If your family isn’t interested in the races, you’ll have people with whom to attend the next event.

How to pick digital photography classes
So the owners manual isn't doing everything you need to do, or you're simply tired of getting multiple pieces of advice from so-called amateur photographers who really don't know what it is they're talking about. If this sounds like something you're dealing with or simply want to be inspired, then maybe a Digital Photography class is the thing for you! Today individuals such as yourself have some options in how to pursue this option. One of which is taking a course at a local community college. After taking one myself, I must tell you that I learned a great deal from the class, and I can only stress to you that the material is something that stays with you for quite a while. But you really don't want to hear my opinion, you need to know about what you need to do to get to a good class. The first thing you need to make sure of is that the school/community college you're attending is an accredited school. This means that the school is legitimate. I have seen WAY too many advertisements on the Internet and in local newspapers for Digital Photography classes only to find out that this is just some guy or girl teaching out of their apartments. C'mon! By going to an accredited university you are ensured that you will be getting your money's worth, and that the class will be taught be someone competent and who went through an enormous amount of education that they are now passing along to you! Some of you may have more options than others depending on where you live. If there are several schools in your area I highly recommend investigating the following; 1) Go over the course outline; by looking over the subject matter in the digital photography course, you will be able to check out which classes are suitable for your skill level. Some classes teach just the basics like how to work your camera. So if you're well passed that, why not take on something a little more challenging? 2) See if there are any interesting aspects to your class. Does the class teach nothing but black and white photography? Will you be out and about in nature trying to photograph birds at six in the morning? Some of this may interest you and it also might give you a headache. 3) Inside and Outside Work; Let's face it. Photography is all around us and it occurs inside and outside of home. Make sure your class teaches proper use of inside and outside photography. Trust me when I say that there is a world of difference! I hope this information has been informative for you. Hears to some great future pictures!
Poetic love versus commercial love
Am I the last romantic? This is a very tough question for me! I remember the times when love seemed more pure and diaphanous. A boy saw a girl, he liked her, she smiled shamefaced at him, giving him hope. Desire was fed by hope, and time was the perfect cook for a romantic love recipe. It all continued with peaceful thoughts at night, while looking at the stars and making wishes, sweet love wishes! Days were passing, the boy can’t get his thoughts back on the track, charmed by his beautiful princess. Another glimpse, a few days after, would keep the fire burning, until the boy can’t take it anymore, and moves to the next step:a romantic poem and roses, maybe even chocolate candy. Beautiful! I’m not going to exaggerate this, by inserting a balcony in this act.. But let’s admit it, those were the good old days of love and poetry. Today, everything seems so empty and meaningless. The media is always showing us more and more violence and sex, pushing love away from our lives, replacing it only with desire. Now women are more and more interested of the bank account and limousine the boy drives, and probably would take poetry and candy as an offence or as unimportant; they would very much rather an expensive perfume or necklace. The boy, on the other hand, doesn’t have that shiver anymore in his voice, he’s a stable person that shouldn’t let loose his lack of confidence. He’s driving his luxury car, dressed up after the latest fashions, perfumed and everything, with sunglasses to give himself a superior attitude. He goes to her home, gives a horn and then takes his partner to the most expensive places to impress her. And he probably succeeds in most of the times. Very beautiful, some may say. Well, I am very sorry, but I am one of the fellows who won’t give into this „new era love”. I stick with the poetic love that used to be once upon a time, the incurable romantic. You may contradict me if you wish, everybody’s free to have an opinion, but I remain the last mohican stuck to the idea that love and poetry come together as a blessing, and shouldn’t be torn apart.

Comparing 6 string and 12 string guitars
6-string or 12-string Acoustic guitar, which should you get? Both have pros and cons, and both are excellent instruments, depending on what you’re looking to accomplish on guitar and how much you are willing to spend. In this article, we’ll go over both guitars, which will hopefully help you make an educated decision on which to purchase. The Main Difference Between Both Guitars: The major difference, of course, is the number of strings. On a 6-string Acoustic guitar in standard tuning, there is one low e, one a, one d, one g, one b and one high e string, in that order. A 12-string acoustic has two low e, two a, two d, two g, two b, and two high e strings, all in that order. 12-string guitars have the ability to be tuned in two different tunings, while 6-string guitars don’t. On the other hand, 12-string guitars also have a lot more tension on their necks, and as a result, their necks tend to warp after only a few years of playing. Which should I pick? That’s a good question, and it depends on a few different things, all of which are discussed here: The Advantages of a 6-String To start with, 6-string guitars are much easier to learn than 12-strings are. This is because of the number of strings and how close together they are on the 12-string. It is nearly impossible to perform certain guitar techniques (like bends) on the 12-string guitar, and significantly harder to tune the guitar and change strings. Also, string picking is complicated by the number of strings. Thus, 6-string guitars are really ideal for those looking to play lead Acoustic guitar, that is, those who want to play a lot of individual notes (not just chords) and use guitar techniques like bends/slides/hammer-ons/pull-offs etc. Beginners will also have an easier time learning to play guitar on a 6-string than on a 12-string, for the reasons mentioned above. The Advantages of a 12-string Despite what was said in the last paragraph, there are quite a few advantages to 12-string guitars. 12-string guitars produce a very rich, bright sound. This is because they have twice the number of strings as a 6-string does. Chords strummed on a 12-string guitar will sound a lot richer (better) than those strummed on a 12-string. Additionally, the 12-string guitar gives you the option of using two different tunings. You can’t do that on the 6-string. Beginners can learn to play 12-string guitars, but it will take a bit more practice to master than the 6-string. However, if you can master a 12-string, a 6-string guitar will be very easy to play. What to keep in mind Most musicians who use 12-string guitars use the 6-string guitar as their primary instrument. They usually pull out the 12-string when a song calls for a big, bright rhythm sound. So, if the songs you want to play feature mainly chords (and the songs call for a very rich sound) then a 12-string would be a good purchase, even if you are a beginner. The learning curve on a 12-string would obviously be steeper, but it would still be doable and worth it. If, however, you are looking to play songs with chords and individual notes, or simply want an instrument that isn’t as complex and difficult to learn, a 6-string guitar is your best bet. You might also want to consider cost. Good 12-string guitars are usually $100-$200 more than good 6-string guitars. If you’re on a budget, you’ll probably want to pick the 6-string guitar.

New types of poetry
: There are many different types of poetry. I counted 50 on a quick search of the internet. You may have heard of Haiku and Limericks. There are the more obscure types too, like Terzanelle and Sestina. Learning different types of poetry though, isn't nearly as much fun as inventing your own, so here are some ideas about that. Types Of Poetry - Playing With Stanzas What is a stanza? A division of a poem consisting of two or more lines. How many ways can you structure a stanza? As many as you want. Look at this stanza from the poem, "Gratitude:" So there is nothing to say There is nothing to say There is nothing Nothing... But gratitude Each line is a smaller part of the previous line. In this case, it quiets the mind in order to emphasize the last word: gratitude. However, this idea could be used in many ways. You could start with a line like, "She watched the birds come in from the sea," and it can reduce to, "Come in from the sea;" "From the sea:" "Where Michael was left alone in the storm." Each stanza could have lengthening lines. Lines could be varied in length to create a picture on the page. Playing with stanzas is a fun way to create new types of poetry. Ideas For New Types Of Poetry In the poem "Do Not Believe In God," each stanza starts with one of our senses: "See God... in stars and sunlight... and the face of your lover;" Hear God... in wind and waves... and the music of the birds." All the senses are covered. How could we use this general idea? By starting each stanza with a different verb or adjective? By starting each stanza with a different person's name? By having each stanza get smaller or larger as the poem progresses? How many ways can you play with poems? "Dream poems," could be a type of poetry that puts actual dreams into verse. "Dialog poems" could have stanzas or lines answering each other back and forth. A series of poems could use all the exact same words, rearranged, with an entirely different outcome in each. There are endless types of poetry you can create.
