Get into a routine of lowering your handicap

Certainly there is no shortage of advice and tips when it comes to subject of improving your golf game. I alone am constantly being asked on how to improve on the various parts of someone’s golf game. Tips and advice, although a good place to start, aren’t the panacea for all that ails one’s golf game. All the advice in the world is only as good as the person’s desire to practice and implement the advice. Practice is essential. Just playing more and more isn’t practicing. If you’re serious about improving your game you have to practice on a regular basis. Think about it for a moment. If you bemoan your sand play, but the only ‘practice’ you get is when you are on the course playing, how much practice and attention is your sand game receiving? Not much. During the course of an actual round of golf how many sand shots will you be required to execute? Even with a bad day on the beach not many at all. If this is you, don’t be frustrated when you blade your sand shots way over the greens and triple bogey holes. Practice not only improves your ability to make shots… the added bonus is that it also improves your overall confidence in your game. Golf is like anything else, what you get out of it is directly related to how much you put into your game. Even if you don’t have the time for prolonged practice sessions, try to take advantage of any free time just to grab a club and work on your swing. The road to improvement isn’t how long you can practice at any given time; rather it is how often you can practice if even for a short time. Next, if you gotten yourself into the habit of regularly practicing; then when you do play your rounds of golf then take them seriously. Learn to control your emotions and focus on each shot. Every stroke counts and they all add up one at a time, so take your game seriously. This doesn’t all mean you take the fun out of the game, you just increase your focus and purpose. Since you are now practicing regularly (even if only for a short time) and playing with more focus and purpose, your game is beginning to improve. If you haven’t by now you should look at upgrading your golf clubs. I’m suggesting that you break the bank on your next set of clubs, but if you’ve never been fitted properly for a set of clubs you will, at some point, limit your improvement progression. Also, since your practicing more and playing better, your swing will be settling into a more consistent routine. As a result, getting some properly fitted clubs will be a better investment, than if your swing was about to dramatically change. As your game continues to improve, the areas of your golf game that need attention and improvement won’t be so glaringly obvious. So, the next level of improvement will take a bit of analysis. I always encourage people at this stage of their development to keep stats on their game. When you do this your are able to pinpoint trends and weaknesses in your game that you may not be so readily able to determine just by trying to evaluate on a round by round basis. So start keeping track of your fairways hit, greens in regulation, 3 putts, putts that you miss inside of 6 feet, sand saves, up and downs from around the green. By now you are well on your way to playing significantly better golf. I know that the short time span of this article isn’t directly related to the time you’ll need to spend to improve your game, but if you persist with your practicing you’ll prevail. So, by now you’ve come full circle and now need to continually evaluate your golf game and improve on those trouble spots and weaknesses. Aside from the obvious benefits of improving your golf game which is lowering your handicap, is now you’ll really begin to appreciate the beauty, the challenges, and the uniqueness of each and every course you play. Each course will take on it’s own personality for you. Because, let’s face it, all the courses look about the same from the rough or the trees.

Tips on buying prescription drugs online

Online pharmacies provide great convenience to many consumers when it comes to getting access to prescription medications. Unfortunately, the presence of fake online pharmacies poses an equally great risk comprised of counterfeit medications and health hazards. To keep buying prescription drugs online a safe and positive experience, follow these tips: 1. Opt for online counterparts of major chain pharmacies. If you must buy from an online pharmacy, opt for one that is an online version of a major chain pharmacy. Online pharmacies like these follow the same stringent and strict procedures used by their brick-and-mortar counterparts in the processing, handling, and shipping of medications and other drugs. They also have lower prices since pharmaceutical firms give them huge discounts. If the prescription medication you need is quite rare, you also have a better chance of finding it in a major chain-online pharmacy. You can also visit a local branch of the online pharmacy in case you encounter problems in taking your medications. 2. Consider online versions of local pharmacies. Even major chain pharmacies have limitations when it comes to expansion. If there is no major chain pharmacy in your area, you can opt for the online version of a local pharmacy. While they cannot provide you with the same low prices as major chain pharmacies, you have the added benefit of proximity. You can seek the advice of the pharmacy's registered pharmacists for questions and consultations quite easily. 3. Choose an online pharmacy that requires a prescription. Whether the online pharmacy you are using is a major chain, local, or purely online one, check if it requires a prescription. It is illegal to order and sell prescription medication without a valid Rx in the United States. Hence, sites that are offering you the option to do so are probably operating illegally. Beware of sites that do not require prescription since the medicines they are selling may be counterfeit and dangerous to your health. 4. Check for license and accreditation. The warehouses, offices, and stockrooms of reputable online pharmacies undergo regular inspections from regulating bodies like the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Associations, and the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites. A site that is licensed, accredited, and approved by these organizations are legal and can cater to your healthcare needs competently. 5. Look for complete, verifiable contact information. This is especially crucial for pharmacies that are purely online in operation. Email addresses are not enough; a site must post a complete and verifiable physical address and toll-free phone numbers. If these are not present at the website, opt for another online pharmacy. Contact information is essential especially if you encounter problems with the medication you ordered or if there is a mistake in delivery. 6. Examine the online pharmacy's privacy and security policy. Since you need to share identifiable, personal information in ordering medicines online, you have to make sure that the online pharmacy will protect any information you divulge and will not use it for its own ends.

A brief glimpse into welcome to the nhk

The willingness to deal with even unpleasant aspects of one's culture in a humorous-yet-serious manner is something that has been ever-present in the media. Social issues, along with the occasional political issue, can suddenly be the focal discussion point of episodes of popular shows, with some more prominent ones becoming the focus of entire series. The Japanese hikikomori problem, along with the standard social anxiety and hints of schizophrenia that being a hikikomori entails, has become the premise of a fairly recent franchise consisting of an anime, comic, and novel series known simply as “Welcome to the NHK.” The show focuses on the lives, trials, and tribulations of Sato Tatsuhiro, who is essentially a hikikomori. This means he exhibits extreme moments of social anxiety, going so far as to avoid his parents (whom he's living with) as much as he can. Besides being a social shut-in, he is also frequently seen to exhibit another Japanese sub-culture-turned-problem: that of being an obsessive anime otaku. For the unfamiliar, the Japanese see the otaku sub-culture as a potential social problem, mainly because most of these people have a slightly compromised grip on reality, preferring to focus their time, effort, and attention on various forms of entertainment. Usually, the obsessive nature targets a single media form, such as music or anime, and focuses exclusively on that. The sub-culture exhibits signs that are interpreted as social anxiety, though they sometimes appear to have somewhat normal social interactions on the rare occasions where large numbers of otaku gather. Sato firmly believes that his status as both hikikomori and otaku, along with the social anxiety, poor people skills, and general paranoia, are all caused by a massive conspiracy. This conspiracy, known as the Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai (the Japanese Hikikomori Association), is the source of the “NHK” in the title, rather than the real-life Japanese television network NHK. His belief in this theory has developed into an elaborate delusion, which includes NHK agents in the form of cute, attractive young girls being sent to prospective targets to allow the conspiracy to more directly influence their targets. It is notable that while Sato initially believes the female lead, Misaki Nakahara, to be one of these agents, he never actually takes the time to detail what the NHK hopes to achieve by turning the entire male population of Japan into socially-inept shut-ins. Together with a variety of other characters, some of which seem to be representatives of other socially-challenged Japanese sub-cultures, Misaki and Sato come together in the most unusual ways. Part of the interaction between the two leads stems from Misaki's contract with Sato, which states that once every evening, she is to lecture him on how to overcome his social anxiety and become a normal, functioning member of society again. Of course, to provide entertainment value, not everything goes as planned, with Sato experiencing everything from panic attacks due to being outside his apartment, to having Misaki pretend to be his girlfriend to fool his visiting mother. Aside from the aforementioned subcultures, the show also briefly touches upon other aspects of Japanese culture. This includes the thriving independent gaming circuit, the “Internet suicide pacts” problem, and other Japanese social idiosyncrasies. It should be noted that, despite the title of the show, the network NHK never actually aired “Welcome to the NHK.” Thus, unlike the novels, the show does not explicitly link the NHK conspiracy to the NHK television network.

How to get the best deal on student car insurance

Just the same as when it comes to young drivers, student’s car insurance can be very expensive. However, if you know where to go for your car insurance then you can get a very attractive deal. One of the easiest ways to get the best deal and cheapest policy is to let a broker search the marketplace for you as a good, independent broker will know where to look and what to look for when it comes to the best deals. Of course the cost of the insurance will depend on different factors; one of the biggest is of course the type of insurance that you are looking to get. There are different types of car insurance; third party; third party fire and theft; and of course, fully comprehensive. The option that is right you for will of course depend on factors too. For instance if your car is a second hand older model then it perhaps won’t make sense for you to insure it fully comprehensive. In fact fully comprehensive is the dearest type of insurance and in some cases, the younger driver might be better off considering third party which is cheaper. When thinking about car insurance you will also have to take into account the bonuses that students can get and again this is where the expertise of a broker can come in handy. Along with getting you the cheapest deal they can also dig out the insurers that are offering extras and promotions particularly aimed at students. Always make sure that you read the small print of a policy and that you are fully aware of what you are and are not covered for. There are many exclusions within a policy and here is where a broker’s advice can be taken when it comes to your particular needs.

Offset mortgages can save you thousands

Offset mortgages offer an attractive alternative to traditional mortgages and can save you thousands over the long term. Buying a home is an exciting time, and it is the biggest financial purchase that most people undertake. The majority of homebuyers cannot afford to buy a house outright and it would be impractical to save up the full amount of the house before you bought it, because you would need somewhere to live in the meantime. Therefore, the usual practice is to take out a mortgage – a loan secured against the property you are buying. In the United Kingdom, there are different types of mortgages to choose from, which include a mortgage that is a big success in Australia, from where it originated. It is called an offset mortgage. Basically, offset mortgages use the interest earnt from your savings accounts and current accounts against your mortgage interest; and as a result this reduces your overall mortgage repayments. With offset mortgages, your mortgage account runs alongside all your other accounts, and the net balance for all the accounts is calculated, normally on a daily basis. The interest is then worked out on the overall total you have in your accounts. All the interest you have earnt from your savings and current accounts goes straight into your mortgage account. As with most mortgages there are variations around this theme, such as a current account mortgage (CAM). Your salary is paid directly into your mortgage account where it immediately reduces your mortgage balance. You can then draw against the account for your normal spending as you would with an ordinary account. The mortgage balance and interest is calculated daily, so even if money were left in your account for a short period, it would still have some positive impact on the cost of your mortgage. Offset mortgages are very efficient. They will enable you to dedicate the bulk of your savings to reduce your mortgage, which can save you thousands of pounds from the mortgage cost, and allow you to pay off your mortgage early. You would still have the flexibility to divert your savings to other uses, however you would give up some of the savings made on your mortgage. The drawbacks to offset mortgages, is that the mortgage interest rates can be higher than the deals you could get on other types of mortgages, and there are often no special offers, such as low discounted rates for the first few years. If you tend to keep a low balance in your current account and have little in the way of savings, the benefits you get from combining the accounts may be too small to outweigh the extra cost of the offset mortgage. You also need to be efficient with keeping track of your financial outgoings, especially in the case of a CAM where you have just a single account for both your mortgage and current account. You do not necessarily need an offset mortgage to pay off your mortgage early. You could have an ordinary mortgage and a completely separate savings account. Then, occasionally you could use your savings to pay off a chunk of your mortgage, which could end in you paying off the mortgage early. However, unlike offset mortgages, you would have to pay the tax that was earnt in the savings account. An offset mortgage could be the right mortgage choice for you, if you are good with your finances, generally have a high current account balance, have reasonably high savings and you are a taxpayer, particularly a higher rate taxpayer. In the United Kingdom, an increasing number of financial lenders are offering offset mortgages because of the benefits they offer to the customer.

Seo guide to choosing a good website host

There are many factors we look at when choosing a host. There are literally thousands of providers in the World and there are many, many considerations to take into account. I like to take a systematic approach and narrow down my field of possible hosting provider candidates before I even look at prices. I write down a list of criteria that I must place on choosing an appropriate website host and these form my requirements base. 1. I look at the required target audience and their geographic location - where does you target market live? And I seek to answer the question; do I want to rank more highly in a regional index rather than an International Index? For example, let’s say you sell blue widgets and you are based in Melbourne, Australia. Through your website you only ship to addresses within Australia. In this situation you would ideally want to be listed more prominently in the Australian regional search indexes - like google. au Why do we need to consider this? The reason is simple, the search engines will rank you more highly in a regional index if you use a hosting provider based in region or country in question. So, this is our first factor 2. Dedicated IP Addresses or Shared. When it comes to search engine optimization this can have an impact so I like to mention it as early as possible in choosing candidates for website hosting provider. Some SEO professionals believe that not having a dedicated IP can have a detrimental affect in Google rankings but from my experience it sometimes does and it sometimes doesn’t. I have had some sites come in with high PR rankings on shared IP’s and others when I shifted to a new IP the PR of the site jumped, so this is still a bit of a mystery when it comes to Google rankings. My advice from a logical SEO perspective is that you never know with whom you are sharing an IP address; they could be running a porn site or a warez site, so logic says get the dedicated IP if you can. 3. Requirements of the coding and database for my website. As an example you might be using a Joomla website and with this comes certain requirements - we need PHP, a MySQL database, a web server (HTTP), sendmail (if you want to get/end email), and some kind of file transfer access (FTP or SFTP). These might seem like fairly common requirements but there are additional items you might want to consider in this segment like the operating system of the host, Linux or windows or what other services they have running on the server, Perl CGI-BIN access, SSI,.htaccess, telnet or SSH crontabs. This item covers all dependencies your website has on services and software to make it perform correctly on the web server. 4. Reliability, Speed and Uptime Guarantee. There is nothing that can hurt your business more than your website visitors coming to your web site only to find that it’s inaccessible. You lose a lot of credibility and possibly even sales through your website being down. You should consider removing a candidate web host if they do not provide you with at least 99.9% uptime. Many web hosts will provide guarantees like this and you should seek to find them. Many web hosts have redundant back-up systems for Internet access that are used when the main connection fails for some reason. Do your research and find out how many redundant connections they have to ensure less chance of the website being unavailable. Website "Redundancy" means if any of the normal Internet connections are interrupted then an alternate Internet connection will be used. 5. Customer Support. One of the most frequent complaints that people make about website hosts is the lack of customer and technical support. From my experience it does not matter if you are an expert or a novice in web hosting, you still need a web host with a good customer support system. Many web hosts offer email, online chat and phone support while others are available only via email. In most cases, email support is adequate, but you should be cautious if a potential web host has no phone number available in case of an emergency. Response times to support questions can vary greatly. Some web hosts may take only a few minutes to get back to you while others take days or even longer. It's important to find out what support any web host candidate provides. Searching on the Internet for references can often be of assistance in this regard. 6. Data Transfer - Traffic/Bandwidth. This is often referred to as "bandwidth", which is the amount of data that can be transferred from or to your website. Basically look for a service which provides a good amount of traffic when compared to other services available. Also when choosing your website host you should ensure that the plan you are on can be expanded so that any foreseen increases in traffic can be accommodated accordingly. 7. Disk space. Again, take into consideration other hosting providers and find a service which provides a good amount of storage space in comparison. You might want to take into account any foreseen increases in storage space required also and factor the ability to be able to change the plan to accommodate these needs. 8. Price. This is always a huge consideration after all you could get a dedicated server for about $200 per month but for the most part this is not required for a new business website. The normal business website is not going to have 5000 visitors per day when it first starts up. Of course there are exceptions and if you are expecting this much traffic then you should get the dedicated server straight away. If however you are like most normal businesses and looking to gain a web presence then I would advise you to get a shared server with a dedicated IP. For something like this the prices can vary from $5 per month to $100 per month. Often you get what you pay for, so you should look at what services they provide for the money and weigh these up against the benefits. Often there are extra's that are suitable for your particular needs, like Joomla support or content input or specialized hosting services.

Budgeting your life living within your means

Whether you are trying to save money or have realized that your expenses are starting to exceed your income, deciding to follow a budget can be one of the most financially rewarding things you can do as an adult. Many people believe that it will be impossible for them to save any money because they are living paycheck to paycheck. But often, these same people can be seen eating dinners out three times a week or spending their money in other foolish ways. In order to save money, or at the very least avoid sinking into debt, sacrifices must be made. Here are some tricks and tips to help you keep to a budget and start putting money away. One of the very best things a person can do to stay on a budget is to start carrying cash rather than using a debit card everywhere. A debit or credit card can make you feel like you have more money than you actually do. If, instead, you take out a certain amount of money at the beginning of the week, and you stop spending when the cash is gone, you no longer run the risk of overspending. Going over the limit with your credit card or debit card can mean expensive fees as well, thus pushing you further over your budget. Carrying cash isn’t the most convenient thing for the modern card carrying world, but it is a helpful trick to keep you on your budget. Along with your cash, start going to the store with a list made out ahead of time. Make it a point to never deviate from this list. This can help you to avoid the pitfalls of impulse buying, the bane of every individual trying to stay on a budget. It can be very easy to become influenced by advertising and creative labels when surrounded by them in a store. What seemed perfectly easy to do without at home could seem necessary to your very survival when faced with it in the store. Making a list and sticking to it can help you to avoid these moments of consumer weakness. Look for bargains. Don’t be afraid to try out generic versions of your favorite products. Sometimes they won’t be as good, but sometimes they will. And they are much cheaper, by and large, than the name brand alternative. Search your newspaper and mailbox for coupons and specials and sales happening at your favorite local stores. One caveat: don’t allow sales and coupons to influence you to buy things you would not have otherwise purchased. The objective here is to save money, not spend more of it. Sticking to a budget can be a difficult, but rewarding task. Set a goal for how much money you would like to save, follow these tips, and see how long it takes you to reach your goal. Chances are, it won’t take nearly as long as you thought. Good luck.

Save gas with a hybrid 2006 honda civic hybrid

Starting at $22,150, the 2006 Honda Civic hybrid is a great choice for any car buyer who seeks a safe, attractive, environmentally-friendly vehicle at an affordable price. Honda retooled the Civic hybrid to make it even better than before. Standard features include an 8-valve 4-cylinder gasoline engine, anti-lock brakes, front and side cushion airbags, a sleek, multi-tier panel and a top-notch audio system. Like all hybrids, the 2006 Civic combines a gas engine, powerful battery and electric motor to achieve maximum mileage and reduced emissions. The 2006 Honda Civic hybrid can cruise using only its electric motor in particular driving conditions. This makes it a “full hybrid” vehicle. As far as gas mileage goes, the Civic hybrid gets 49 mpg in the city and 51 mpg on the highway. This is a slight improvement from the gas mileage of the 2005 model. The 2006 Civic hybrid's electric motor produces 20 horsepower. The battery pack used for storing energy is 158 volts, increased from the previous year. The 2006 Civic hybrid offers seating for five and is considered a compact sedan. Sleeker and more attractive than the 2005 Civic hybrid, the 2006 model is great for anyone seeking a sportier hybrid car. As far as power goes, the combined gas engine and electric motor of the 2006 Civic hybrid produce 115 horsepower, an increase of 23 percent from the 2005 model. If you think the 2006 Honda Civic hybrid might be the right car for you, the next step is finding a reputable dealership. You can search for dealerships in your area using the Yellow Pages or the Internet. It's a good idea to visit more than one dealership before deciding which one should have your business. Make sure your salesperson is knowledgeable and friendly without being overly aggressive. And always take a test drive to make sure the vehicle you think you want to purchase feels right to you.

An introduction to collecting car brochures part 3 what to look for when buying

If you have read the previous articles in this series you should now have a clear idea of what brochures you are trying to obtain for your collection. Now for the fun bit! Starting, maintaining and increasing your collection. As you are collecting second-hand items, the condition of an item you are after can vary dramatically. Also, it does not help that sellers regularly either omit or misdescribe items. Therefore, it is paramount that you ask the right questions and look for what the seller hasn’t said as much as what he has in his advert description. Having been disappointed on more than a few occasions when a “pristine” item has arrived through my letterbox, I have a checklist that I consult before committing to buying. The list is as follows: 1) What is the size of the item in centimetres? Pictures can be deceptive and what looks like a 21cm x 29cm item, may be much smaller in size. 2) How many pages long is it? Beware that on smaller brochures, there can be confusion between seller and buyer with what represents a page. My firm only uses the term “pages” for items that are 6 pages long or more. Otherwise, we use the term number of “sides”. As a reputable seller, this avoids any confusion and disappointment. 3) What is the reference number of the brochure? Most manufacturers have a code system for their brochures that you will become familiar with very quickly. By keeping a note of the references, you will avoid duplicates in your collection. 4) What is the condition of the brochure? Amazingly, very few sellers have a condition scale attached to the advert (we do). One person’s “pristine” may be fit only for the bin in other collectors eyes! I therefore ignore vague words like the above and ask direct questions – Has it any creases or tears and if so how many and how bad? Any fading? Any foxing (A term used to describe stains, specks, spots and blotches in paper)? Any water or damp damage? 5) How will the item be delivered to you? On auction sites especially, it is natural to go for the cheapest posting method. However, if the item is being sent for the cost of the stamp, can you really expect anything more than for it to be delivered in a flimsy envelope? Probably not. The only way that a collectable paper item should be sent is in a card-backed envelope preferably marked “do not bend” with the item wrapped in plastic to prevent water damage and a return address inside, just in case the postal system loses it. I also insist on a proof of posting, again just in case the item goes missing. For any item over a preset limit, in my case Ј30/$60, I offer to pay extra for recorded delivery. Better safe than sorry. If you get a satisfactory answer to the questions above, you will be as certain as you can be that you will get the item and that it will be of a standard reflecting the price you have paid. The list sounds a bit daunting, but essentially it boils down to ensuring you know what you are getting and making sure it arrives in the same condition with which it left the seller. Many is the time that I have received a sodden envelope that contains a perfectly preserved item because I have insisted on it being wrapped in plastic. If the seller says, he does not normally do this, offer to pay extra for the service or if practical, collect the item. If your seller cannot or will not take this care, may I suggest that you walk away and wait for another to turn up. Please remember that for older brochures especially, a bit of fading and foxing and the odd crease or small tear is perfectly acceptable. In fact, I prefer an item with a patina to an “as new” item as it seems to have more character. Finally, unless it is extremely rare, I would avoid buying any incomplete, falling apart or badly damaged brochures. On the whole, they have little or no value and it is best to wait for a better one to be offered for sale. Next week, I will be discussing the correct way to store your collection.

Fractional ownership in private jets

Did you know that private jets are available for purchase in a timeshare-like arrangement? It’s called fractional ownership. Fractional ownership of a private jet is now affordable even for small businesses and the upper middle class. The most well-known providers are NetJets, Flexjet, CitationShares, Flight Options, and Airsprint. NetJets is generally considered to be the leader of the pack. A five-year ownership agreement is required for fractional ownership in most private jets. A one-sixteenth fractional share (about fifty hours of flying time per annum) runs from US$400,000 and up. If you like to travel, fractional shares can save you money in many ways, believe it or not. In addition it can save you a lot of time, since flight times are shorter and there’s no need to wait in line. To add to the convenience, private jets can land at many, many more airports than commercial flights, meaning that wherever you land is probably going to be not only closer to your final destination (reducing your ground transportation time) but less crowded as well. And since private jets don’t have to follow rigid commercial schedules, you can arrange your trip more efficiently to eliminate unnecessary overnight stays and thus save money on hotel bills. Nevertheless, there are hidden costs. Fractional ownership requires the payment of steep monthly fees along with fuel charges, among other things. Accordingly, don’t expect fractional ownership to directly save you money. But think about this - the comfort, convenience, and efficiency of a private jet will provide you with a host of indirect economic benefits – since you can avoid delaying or canceling meetings, and you can arrive in at the top of your game in terms of physical and mental condition, you will be more effective in business endeavors such as negotiation, etc. Don’t forget that fractional jet ownership is also a considerable investment, since an interest in a private jet can be bought and sold.

A quick guide to sunglass wear why when and where

Sunglasses have been considered a fashion statement for decades, worn by celebrities and other famous folks in either a desperate attempt to conceal their identity or to play the movie star role, all while looking fabulous. Even though this usage still exists, more and more average people are realizing the importance of wearing them to protect their invaluable eyesight. Even though the sun is over 93 million miles away, its harmful rays can be the sole cause of an assortment of health problems. Ultra violet radiation (also known as UV radiation or UV rays) is probably the largest solar-based contributor to such health problems. UV-A, UV-B and UV-C are the categories of UV radiation known to us at this time. With the exception of UV-C (which is believed to be absorbed by the ozone layer around the earth), these rays can have both short and long term effects to your eyes and your vision. Now that you’re a bit more aware of why, you need to know more about when. For instance, UV rays reflect off of snow, sand, pavement and water, causing a greater risk for damage than in a “greener” environment, like a park or field. The rays in a reflective situation will be coming at you from two angles instead of the one in a greener environment, as the rays will bounce off of the reflective surface in addition to coming at you straight on. Wearing sunglasses that offer you UV protection will help to protect your eyes when in this type of circumstance. High altitude is another situation for which sunglasses should be worn. UV rays are filtered out through the earth’s atmosphere, resulting in lesser amounts of the harmful rays converging with the earth’s surface. Simply put, high altitudes yield a greater amount of the rays because they haven’t had the chance to be filtered yet. Between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm is the time of day when the UV rays are their most powerful, so protective eyewear is crucial during this timeframe, whether or not the sun is bright and beaming in the sky or hidden behind large amounts of clouds (both white and fluffy and dark and gloomy). UV rays can easily leak through the cloud cover and rain to wreak its irreversible damage on your eyes. Since you now are aware of the situations that necessitate proper eyewear protection, you need a brief list of what to look for when shopping for your ideal pair of sunglasses. Typically, lenses that are green, brown or grey work the best, combined with a feature that filters out of at least 99% of UV-A and UV-B radiation and 75% - 90% of visible light. Taking care of your baby blues, browns and greens now will ensure you a lifetime of beautiful visions.

Buying designer luggage today can be a daunting task if you do not know what to look for. Traveling can be stressful as it is but not knowing which luggage set or designer luggage to choose can cause even more headache. You will need to spend some time shopping for luggage to get the best deal and find what really will be the best fit for you. You may want to look for some well made designer luggage so that you don't have to worry about whether your new pieces will hold up through the wear and tear of travel. Designer luggage comes from many well known brands like Samsonite luggage, TravelPro luggage, Andiamo luggage, Boyt luggage, Delsey luggage, Eagle Creek luggage, French luggage and the list goes on. A good place to find information on designer luggage is at savinarluggageonline. You can find information about designer luggage like the wide range of colors available, the materials the luggage is made from and the selection of wheeled luggage, monogramming and other designer luxuries. Leather luggage can really last, yet can sometimes get heavy for frequent travelers. Nylon wears quite well and is lightweight but may not be quite a durable and nice looking especially for the cost of a designer luggage set. Of course, while designer luggage is usually sturdier and more stylish, no one should shop for luggage strictly because it has a certain designer label. Take a close look at any luggage you are considering to be sure that it is the right size and style for you. If you are looking at a luggage set but don't have a use for all of the different pieces of a set buy individual pieces that you feel like you will use. Most designer luggage comes with locks and this is especially important if you will be staying in hotels or while you are at the airport and traveling and your luggage may not be secure at all times. These locks may not keep a determined thief from breaking into your luggage but they will discourage people who seize the opportunity when it is there. Finally, take care of your designer luggage and it will stay in good shape for years. By cleaning it after you take a trip you can have it for years making it a good investment to buy quality designer luggage.

Magazine subscriptions cheap good reads

People are busy these days. While we may still have time to read a good novel on our summer vacation, a lot of us are limited to the two or three minutes we can get in before we fall asleep at night or maybe that quiet time in the bathroom. Magazines are great for people on the go. You can get valuable information in small pieces, they’re light and portable, and these days there is a magazine (and sometimes many) for everyone from equestrians to quilters. The problem is that purchasing many magazines can get expensive. But there are ways that you can cut these costs and still get your favorite magazines. First of all, subscribing alone is usually a great cost savings over buying a magazine on the newsstand every month. Plus, this way it comes straight to your house and you don’t have to go to the store to buy it. Subscribing also can give you benefits you won’t get from purchasing individual issues. Most magazines have companion websites these days, and subscribers can get access to extra content and archived materials. One time buyers may get limited access for the time period of the issue they purchased, but subscribers will be able to see everything. When you do subscribe, there are a couple of things that can save you money there, too. Buy in bulk, like you do to get the best price for paper towels or dog food. In other words, if you really like a magazine, pay for two to three years at a time and you will usually pay less than you would if you subscribe a year at a time. Not only is the per year price lower, but you are also protected for a couple of years against the magazine price going up. Another idea is to see if you are eligible for a professional discount. For example, if you work in the financial field, you may qualify for a discount on personal finance or business magazines. Also, if you have a business that has a waiting room, you can often purchase magazines at a discount for your customers to read while they are waiting, then you can read them on your breaks or take them home at night or when the new issues come in. Finally, you may be able to get discounts on magazines with credit card points, or on websites selling discount subscriptions. If you take a little time, you can find great reading for a little money.

Positive attitude can change the world around you

The Powers of a Positive Attitude I am going to ask you to something very weird right now. First of all, I want you to listen to your thoughts. Now tell me, what thoughts fill your head? Would you label them as positive, or negative? Now let's say you are walking down the street with these thoughts. Do you think anyone who would meet you would be able to tell you what’s on your mind? The answer to number one is up to you. But, the answer number two can be pretty generic. Although people will not be able to tell you exactly what you think, they will more or less have an idea of how you are feeling. Here's another question. When you enter a party filled with friends, do they all fall silent as if something terrible had happened? Or does everybody there perk up as if waiting for something exciting to happen? You know what? The answer to all these depends on your frame of mind. Thoughts are very powerful. They affect your general attitude. The attitude you carry reflects on your appearance, too – unless, of course, you are a great actor. And it doesn't end there. Your attitude can also affect people around you. The type of attitude you carry depends on you. It can be either positive or negative. Positive thoughts have a filling effect. They are admittedly invigorating. Plus, the people around the person carrying positive thoughts are usually energized by this type of attitude. Negative thoughts on the other hand have a sapping effect on other people. Aside from making you look gloomy and sad, negative thoughts can turn a festive gathering into a funeral wake. A positive attitude attracts people, while a negative attitude repels them. People tend to shy away from those who carry a negative attitude. We can also define attitude as the way of looking at the world. If you choose to focus on the negative things in the world, more or less you have a negative attitude brewing up. However, if you choose to focus on the positive things, you are more likely carry a positive attitude. You have much to gain from a very positive attitude. For one, studies have shown that a positive attitude promotes better health. Those with this kind of attitude also have more friends. projecting a positive attitude also helps one to handle stress and problems better than those who have a negative attitude. A positive attitude begins with a healthy self-image. If you will love the way you are and are satisfied, confident, and self-assured, you also make others are around feel the same way. A negative attitude, on the other hand, has, of course, an opposite effect. So, carrying a negative attitude has a twofold drawback. You feel bad about yourself, and you make others feel the same way. If you want to have a positive attitude, you have to feature healthy thoughts. This is probably very hard to do nowadays since, all around us, the media feeds us nothing but negative thoughts. A study shows that for every 14 things a parent says to his or her child, only one is positive. This is truly a saddening thought. If you want a healthier outlook in life, you need to think happy thoughts, and you have to hear positive things as well. So, what can you do? Well, for starters, you could see a funny movie, you could play with children, spend some time telling jokes with friends. All these activities fill you with positive stimuli, which in turn promotes positive attitude. Although it is impossible to keep ourselves from the negative things around us, you can still carry a positive attitude by focusing on the good things, the positive things in life. And this positive attitude you now carry can be of benefit to other people. Sometimes when other people feel down, the thing people mostly do is try to give them advice. But sometimes, all they need is somebody to sit by them, and listen to them. If you have a positive attitude you may be able to cheer them up without even having to say anything. If positive attitude is really great, why do people choose to adopt a negative attitude instead? One who carries a negative attitude may be actually sending a signal for attention. Before you get me wrong, feeling sad, angry, or gloomy is not wrong itself. But dwelling on these thoughts for far too long is not healthy either. There is a time to mourn. As always, if you are beset by troubles, even in your darkest hour, focus on the good things in life, you will always have hope. Problems become something you can overcome. You do not have much to lose by adopting a healthy, positive attitude. Studies show that such an attitude actually retards aging, makes you healthier, helps you develop a better stress coping mechanism, and has a very positive effect on all the people you meet every day. So, what's not to like about a positive attitude? Adopt one today.

5 Features your web host must have

It is important that your web host has all the greatest features and technologies. However, you may not be aware of what you should look for in a web host. They all say they are the best, most reliable, etc. but how do you decipher who is really telling the truth? How do you find out what is really important when choosing a web host? In this article you will find the 5 things your web host must have. When you are researching a web host and you come across one that does not have these 5 things just click away to find one that does have what you need. 5 Features Your Web Host Must Have – 1. Greatest Control Panel: The control panel is the place you will be visiting most often, so it should be easy to use, have all the features you need, etc. You can find a great control panel with cPanel, which provides one of the best control panel user experiences among all of the others. CPanel offers more than 42 different icons, 50 of the most used PHP scripts, shopping carts, forums, and even a WordPress blog – one of the best blog hosts out there. cPanel also provides an easy to use layout and navigation so when you do use it you can forget about frustration. 2. On 24-7: Your web host should be working for you around the clock. This will keep your website up and running 99.9% of the time, and the server should be able to locate and repair any problems as soon as they appear. It is rare that a server could become inactive, but if/when it does happen, you do not want it to happen to your website. That could mean lost sales, lost visitors, and maybe even lost customers for life. No one wants that. The web host should be working all of the time – no exceptions. It should constantly monitor your website at least every few minutes for problems, check your server load and RAM, and be able to let administrators know immediately so they can instantaneously fix the problem. Your web host should also provide a fire wall to keep your website safe from hackers, viruses, and anything else that could effect your website. 3. An Outstanding Server: If you want to avoid regular problems and too much downtime (all that can be avoided) you need to find a web host with a reliable server. The web host’s server should have multiple hard drives, good RAM, the latest CPUs, the best power supply, quality motherboards, a great cooling system, and a testing system for all new servers. 4. Linux Servers: No, you do not need windows servers. You should get a web host that uses Linux only. You don’t need to have Linux on your own computer to have a web host that uses Linux. Linux has been shown to be more reliable and able to handle larger loads than other server operating systems. It is even better at virus protection and has a better uptime than others. 5. Free Features: Your web host should provide you with a variety of free features, or features that you can use for a small fee. These features should include things that you can use for your website such as graphics, blogs, paid pages, sub domains, interesting facts to add to your website, forums, and more.

4Wd mobility scooters

4WD Mobility Scooters Keep You Going Mobility scooters can offer a lot of convenience to individuals that are injured or obese, and need help when it comes to getting from one place to another. Whether a person is trying to reduce the stress and strain that they put on the bones of their body in order to reduce the risk of an injury, or the individual is simply to frail to get from place to place as quickly as they need to or would like to be able to, mobility scooters can provide a welcome relief to these individuals in that they are then able to accomplish their specific individualized goals when it comes to moving around or from one place to another. However, these people also want to be able to rely on the safety and reliability of these scooters. This is essential, since otherwise the individual is not being helped any more than they would be without the scooter. To invest in an item built to move one around, and then not be able to move around in it from time to time would easily be considered by most people to be a waste of money. This is why many people should look at the specifics of their mobility scooters before they purchase them. There are many things that can make one type of mobility scooter better than another type of mobility scooter simply because the difference between the two can enable one to be relied on more often than the other one would be. Prices and characterizations of each mobility scooter need to be considered carefully by consumers in order to ensure that they are making the right decision when it comes to their investment in mobility scooters. The winter time is not only a time in which people are more likely to get hurt on account of the weather conditions, but it is also a time in which individuals need to be able to rely on their mobility scooters outside. Because of this, many companies have begun to offer 4wd mobility scooters. These work in similar ways to 4 wheel drive vehicles. 4wd mobility scooters allow the individual to have more control over their movements, even on slick or slippery services. Where less effective mobility scooters may become stuck, mobility scooters with 4wd are able to get through the difficult elemental effects of the weather and keep the individual safe and secure while they are transported from one area to another. While they are often more expensive, they also offer more by way of convenience and effective capabilities. Some people will need to be careful, though. If a person is living in Arizona, they will probably not need to purchase a 4wd mobility scooter simply because they are not exposed to the need for such an item. Rather, this type of purchase needs to be thought about carefully, logically and rationally by the consumer prior to their commitment in purchasing a 4wd mobility scooter from a manufacturer or other retail outlet, Pennysaver ad or another individual that is parting with their 4wd mobility scooters.

Stuff happens be prepared

As children, if we learned nothing else from those "scary" nursery rhymes, it should have been that "stuff" happens! Scary? Yes, Scary! Jack fell down and broke his crown... Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall (worse yet, they couldn't put him back together again!)... The wind blew and down came cradle, baby and all... little Miss Muffet had her meal interrupted by a spider... and two little Piggies got there houses blown down. Is that scary enough for you? What's with these nursery rhymes? Were our parents trying to raise a generation of Stephen Kings? I never gave it a second thought as a child, but now that I reflect on it, we grew up on nursery rhymes filled with mishaps that should horrify any little child. I don't think it was the intention of our parents, or the creators of these nursery rhymes, to actual scare children. But, it is odd, don't you think. So, maybe there was a secret message in these mishap filled nursery rhymes. Were they preparing us for real life? In real life, stuff happens. And, if we know life will be filled with these little mishaps, shouldn't we be prepared? Unexpected mishaps can reek havoc on the best kept finances, if they are not treated as "expected" expenses. Like the moral of the Three Little Pigs we must build a strong house so the wolf can't blow it down! A good plan for preparing for these little mishaps in life is to build an emergency fund. Your emergency fund provides a strong foundation to prevent mishaps from bringing the house down. Be prepared for life's little mishaps. Set aside money to get you through the financial consequences when "stuff" happens. When daddy, or mommy, fall down and break his/her crown, who will earn money to pay the bills while they recuperate? It's O. K. to start small. I know that in life sometimes we get ourselves in tight financial situations. But, even if it's only a tiny percentage of your paycheck for now and you increase the amount as possible, you'll be ahead of the game. Slowly, yet consistently, include a plan in your budget to build this emergency preparedness fund. You'll be prepared when life's little mishaps are determined to bring the house down. Note: If you have substantial debt, your needs and priorities will be different. Debt steals your time away. It's hard to make any advancement towards productive financial goals until you've eliminated debt. But, that's not saying that the one month that your mishap occurs, you won't be prepared. In fact, you are already somewhat prepared and may not know it. If you are paying extra funds towards reducing debt each month, you already have an emergency fund built into your debt elimination plan! As per your usual debt elimination plan, you should apply extra funds to reduce debt each month. If you are already managing your money to control spending and budgeting to pay down debt, you'll have those funds available every month. I recommend that you build up a small emergency fund of about $500 - $1000 (depending on your financial situation). Then continue to apply any extra funds each month to your debt elimination goals. If an unexpected expense arises, you'll just redirect any extra funds (simply pay your minimum debt payments that month) normally posted to your debt elimination goals and take care of your mishap, if necessary. And, you'll always have your little back up emergency fund if needed. Then, when all is taken care of, you'll get back to focusing those funds on debt elimination.

Shower enclosures are all the rage

Living in the modern world, showers have become more of a luxury compared to the ancient days in Greece where pull cord showers were taken outside and only a cold water supply was available due to lack of plumbing. More than a welcomed change occurred towards the latter part of the 80’s and into the early the 90’s when new technologies were introduced into the bathroom remodeling industry where bathroom suppliers saw a splurge in shower and bath sales, indicating more homeowners were looking to upscale their bathrooms. Shower enclosures were popularized in part of the design boom with bathroom suppliers exhibiting sleek trendy designs. Not before long homeowners were demolishing their existing bathrooms down to the bare walls, thus creating an increase in demand for home contractors and renovation firms brought on by the bathroom design frenzy. The emergence of shower enclosures became a key point of interest as it gave way to opening up a bathroom where the shower no longer had to be attached to the bath and only required additional plumbing be installed in order to accommodate the placement of the shower enclosure. Today’s remodelers are going big and going all out when it comes to redesigning their bathrooms since there are far more design concepts available especially for the smaller bathroom. Typically the average size of a bathroom is approximately 130-140sq ft, according to the National Interior Design Council when the new market trends came into play, homeowners looked to shower enclosures as a means to give bathrooms a more spacious appeal. A pivotal factor in helping revolutionize the shower industry was due in part to homeowners moving towards replacing single showers with two-person showers and eliminating adjoined bath/shower units. The desire for homeowners to express their individual design flare is largely expressed in the increased number of sales in relation to shower enclosures where people are looking to go beyond the traditional sliding glass door shower or shower certain. Since shower enclosures have undergone a tremendous change in the past several years, people are quickly discovering frameless shower doors and enclosures are all the rage and that taking a relaxing shower in one of these elegant easy-to-clean shower enclosures is an oasis of sheer pleasure. Staying with the trend towards openness and airy spaces, the eminent range of shower enclosure designs add a stunning appeal to any bathroom remodeling project, from frameless quadrant shower enclosures for an ultra modern look or uniquely designed frosted glass corner shower enclosure adorned in chrome or stainless steel. The dazzling spectacle of shower enclosure designs directly lends to the success of the bathroom and shower industry and has often been reported at times difficult for bathroom suppliers to keep supply in stock, indicating there is supply in demand and is on a steady upward climb. According to interior designers with more homes being built, people are customizing their bathrooms prior to completion to incorporate the latest trends in bathroom dйcor with shower enclosures leading the way not only because of their timeless elegance, but are easily maintained and with everyone leading lifestyles that is an added bonus. Written by Shelley Murphy on behalf of victoriaplumb an online retailer of bathroom furniture, steam showers, shower enclosures, whirlpool spa baths and bath related products serving the United Kingdom.

The pill helpful or harmful

Whenever one decides to raise a family, the decision regarding how many kids to have will always be a factor. And with the recent population boom, couples nowadays are becoming more and more aware of the need for family planning. There are a lot of methods of family planning available in the market, one of which is the birth control pill. History of the birth control pill The development of the birth control pill was put in motion by lifelong women's rights advocate Margaret Sanger. Sanger's advocacy was fueled by observing her mom exhaust herself to death by giving birth to 11 children. She became a nurse and later on funded the research to come up with a better contraceptive. The first Food and Drug Administration (FDA)approved oral contraceptive pill was introduced to the public and launched for sale in the United States in the 1960s. The brand name of the first contraceptive pill was Enovid and it was invented by Frank Colton. He was inducted to the National Inventor's Hall of Fame for this specific invention. Later on, Carl Djerassi, an Austrian chemist, invented the modern birth control pill. Benefits of using birth control pills: Birth control pills, when used as instructed, are an effective way to minimize accidental pregnancies. Pills also help improve excess hair and acne as androgen and testosterone are suppressed. Abnormally high levels of androgen can cause darkening of facial and body hair. Heavy and irregular menstrual bleeding patterns are also improved. Menstrual cramps and pre-menstrual pain are significantly reduced when using oral contraceptive pills. Pills are used to treat endometriosis by regulating hormone production that may help develop the disease further. Pills help reduce the risk of ovarian cyst formation as it prevents ovulation. Ovarian cysts often form during ovulation period. Pills protect women against uterine cancer. Pills lower the risk of having Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID). PID is a bacterial infection in the Fallopian tube and the Uterus that can cause extreme pain and eventually, if left untreated, infertility. Pills thinken the cervical mucous lining, thereby protecting the cervix from being affected by any bacterial infection. The contraceptive function is reversible. Risks and side effects of using birth control pills: Birth control pill users may encounter mild, physical side effects such as: nausea, headaches, hand weight gain. Increased risk of breast cancer has been noted with birth control pill users. Increased risk of stroke and heart attack for pill users who smoke. Pill users experience unusual mood changes, including depression. A decision to be made Choosing to use the pill is a decision only you can make for yourself. Weigh the benefits and risks carefully before choosing to settle into this kind of birth control method. Better yet, consult a trusted medical health professional or go to your nearest sexual health clinic to have all the risk and benefits discussed thoroughly, and to have all your other questions and worries answered and cleared out. After all, this is your body that will suffer the consequences of making rash decisions if you decide in haste.

Multi level marketing business general study

The following is based on a study done by a friend and his partners in the early 1990’s; indeed, things advanced to such a stage that they actually got involved with one of the companies as full time distributors. The principle, while economically sound, must have core strength at its base and not fall into a well documented type of business known as pyramid selling, which became popular in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. When I say core strength, I mean that at its foundation any business must have a product that sells! This may sound ridiculously obvious however a major problem occurring with many of the products marketed through this method, in their experience, has been that the products simply did not penetrate into the market successfully. When joining one of the companies that participate in MLM, one is generally pressed upon to purchase materials for personal use and to buy stock for distribution to further people. Additionally, whilst the figures shown in the literature are very impressive, to attain these figures it is imperative to introduce other people to the business thereby gaining a percentage of their material sold. As that person introduces further people to the business, one then gains a percentage of sales from that person also. Depending on the company, the revenue continues for a certain amount of levels, hence the name multi level marketing. The major drawback that they discovered was that to attain the desired figures, one had to concentrate on recruiting more and more people to the business with the result being that nobody was really concentrating on selling product. This is why pyramid selling was made illegal - quite simply no product was moving at the bottom end and the only people making good money were on the top level and able to benefit from many peoples ‘efforts, whether or not product was moving. Unfortunately for the people on the lower levels they often parted with considerable sums of money unaware that the end product was either non-marketable or in some cases did not even exist! After this, the only way out for these people was to rope more people into the business on levels beneath them and thus recuperate some of their money. Multi level marketing, while not crooked in this way or illegal, still carries with it the problem of having to recruit other people into the business to attain the dizzy financial heights projected by the companies. I know several of the companies that we looked at in the early nineties, including the one they became involved with, have disappeared without trace and one never hears nor sees the products anywhere - is this coincidence? Since the companies were extremely well capitalised, did the owners realise that their products had a very short shelf-life and this was the best way to juice any profitability possible in a very short time? Without sounding too sceptical, it does seem to me that this was the case since, as they mentioned earlier, the products are never seen and the company is never heard of. You be the judge.

Choosing the right whey protein powder

When you start looking for a whey protein supplement, you will most likely consider a whey protein powder because these are typically less expensive than other types of whey protein. Whey protein powder can be just as effective as other types of whey protein products, but it is essential that you choose a quality whey protein powder. Unfortunately, when you walk into your local health food store to purchase a whey protein powder, you will probably be expecting a qualified sales person who knows all about the products on the shelf. What you will actually - most likely - encounter is a teenager who doesn't know the first thing about body building, much less the products on the shelf in the store where he or she works. They are just there for the minimum wage paycheck. Even if the sales person is qualified to answer your questions, they represent their company - not you - and will suggest the product that nets them the highest profit, instead of the product that is going to net you the most benefit. The first step is to know your protein, and to realize that whey protein isolate is the best choice. Whey protein isolate is sold in whey protein powder form. Learn to read labels carefully to ensure that you are getting the right product - the one that contains everything you want, as well as the one that uses a manufacturing process that doesn't filter out or reduce the beneficial nutrients of the product. Educate yourself, and you won't have to depend on a sales clerk knowing what you need….you will know, and you will know how to examine labels to find what you do need. The next step is to ignore the prices listed for those whey protein powders. If you are making your selections based first on price, the chances are really good that you won't be getting a good product, and of course, there is no need to ask a sales person or to take the time to educate yourself. Your decision is already made, based on price. Don't make this mistake. Next, look for the whey protein powders that are pure. This means that they do not include carbohydrates, and again, whey protein isolate is what you should be looking for. If you look simply for whey protein isolate, the choices become way less confusing. Otherwise, your eyes and senses will be assaulted with too many choices. You will see whey protein powder with other proteins. You will see whey protein powder with Casein. You will see whey protein powder with Soy. The choices go on and on, and in the end all you really need is a whey protein isolate powder. Again, it cannot be said enough, it is vital that you educate yourself concerning whey protein powder before you start buying. Otherwise, you will find that you are wasting a ton of money on products that are not giving you the maximum benefits. Whey protein powder is important to body building, but it only counts if you use a quality whey protein powder.

They include Clearwater Beach, Island Estates, Sand Key, Belleair Beach, Belleair Shores, Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores, Redington Shores, North Redington Beach, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach. These areas are blessed with sandy beaches and natural unspoiled landscapes with clear, sparkling Gulf waters, a subtropical climate, and an abundance of glorious Florida sunshine -- 365 days a year! Pinellas County's barrier islands are accessed via causeways and bridges and each community has its own unique flavor. Because of the mix of many different cultures, foods, music, and entertainment, life on these islands varies from one island to the next. You can find everything from a relaxed escape from the usual rat race of everyday life, to the exhilarating hip-grinding beats of the live music being played at the clubs. The island of Sand Key is just one of the many different communities you will find here. Sand Key is mostly a residential location of townhouses, homes, and luxury high rise condominiums. This island community does offer shopping and restaurants as well, housing two major hotels on its north end. This is a place to slow down and take the time to truly enjoy the simpler things in life. Asthma control tips on how to cure your asthma naturally

With over 17 million people in the United States alone suffering from Asthma and consequently seeking some form of asthma control, this respiratory disease has proven to be a very debilitating hindrance to optimal health. Breathing is the very essence of life and for this disease to hinder its natural process, an effective Asthma control will be essential. Characterized by wheezing sounds, tightness in the chest, difficulties breathing and at times cough spells and sore throats, I had my first asthma attack as a kid and up until about 6 years ago had these attacks rather frequently. This made for many sleepless nights (why with reaching for my ventolin inhaler) and boring days locked in doors. This was simply because I didn’t have the cardio-vascular endurance to withstand play coupled with the added fear of allergic reactions to grass, dust or even a friendly pat on the back which could trigger an asthma attack at any time landing me right back in the bed for a week minimum. This (with acne and lethargy) was my state of health for years till I started to take up Yoga, considering its mild, yet very effective abilities to exercise the body without any vigorous demands. I was introduced to Pranayama, the Sanskrit name for Breathing Exercises and was told of the benefits of such techniques as the Bellows Breath for asthma control and was also shown how such simpler Square breathing exercises could be beneficial for curing and preventing asthma along with improving my overall health. The author of the Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga, Swami Vishnu Devananda attested to curing many patients with asthma symptoms by correcting their breathing habits and with the introduction of a proper diet and exercise. Based on my experiences, I will now provide you with similar and up to date information on the tried-and true techniques and methods of attaining successful and permanent asthma control techniques. The first step to keep in mind whenever you are breathing is to make the conscious effort to ensure that it is done deeply. This can only be attained initially by conscious efforts but, with time and practice it becomes a natural process, like it was always intended to be. To gain the most amount of air with minimal effort, ensure that when inhaling, you allow for the dome of the abdomen to have an outward curve. Contrary to popular belief and instructions given by vocal coaches and even some doctors, do not raise the shoulders or stiffen the diaphragm when inhaling as this constricts the inflow of air for the lungs. For a good illustration of natural breathing as described above, simply observe an infant. You would notice a baby always breathes deeply from the abdomen although it is with a seemingly effortless approach. (I guess that is another reason why the great seers and prophets say “to learn from little children eh?” A simple test to establish proper breathing habits will be the following exercises. When executing them, ensure that they are done on an empty stomach and in a place with plenty of fresh air. Also, make sure that you breathe through the nose as often as possible. Asthma Control: Breathing Exercises to Use 1. Inhalation and Exhalation: -Either laying flat on a bed or sitting erect commence to breathing deeply, using a stop-watch or metronome to keep track of the time. The desired ratio here is 1:2. Minimum time for inhalation should be 4 seconds gradually building up to 16. (With the time for exhalation now being 8 seconds gradually building up to 32) consciously perform this exhilarating exercise for several weeks. 2. Inhalation-Retention-Exhalation -When you are properly established in exercise #1 the next stage included is retention. In ancient yogic texts, the required ratio would be 1:4:2 (inhalation, retention and exhalation) The minimum schedule again for this exercise is 4 seconds, gradually building up to a maximum of 16 seconds (inhalation that is) Practice this for several days or weeks till you master it and it becomes second nature. Although, from the indications above, you’d notice that more emphasis is laid on proper breathing over diet as a step for a natural asthma control, do keep in mind that it is advised that you avoid Mucus-Forming foods such as Animal flesh and products, Most Grains, Junk and Processed Foods and even some so-called health-food products like Soy, Yeast, Bragg’s Liquid Aminos and Vinegar. Abstinence from the products above is a must and a fact that has been in effect in several programs aimed at correcting respiratory health such as the "Breath Retaining Program For Asthmatics" developed by the Russian, Dr. Buteyko. Within weeks of adhering to this advice, many chronic asthmatics have been able to give up the use of ventolin inhalers. Replace these items with Fruits, Leafy and Root Vegetables and if desired less harmful whole grains like Brown rice, Quinoa, Amaranth and Millet occasionally. Also make sure to combine your meals properly and not to consume liquids of any kinds while eating so as not to constrict proper movement of the visceral organs that lie underneath the all important diaphragm. In addition, make the effort to avoid the use of microwaves, conventionally grown produce and polluted tap water for your optimal health. Asthma need not be a part of your life anymore; you too can effectively apply these natural asthma control methods with the steps outlined above. So empower yourself for a successful asthma control today with proper breathing and dietetic habits.

Uneven pavement on a chopper scary

The other day I was riding and found myself in a road paving project area. This was a project on a 4-lane road with 1/2 of the two lanes on my side paved... and the other 1/2 getting prepared for paving to continue. The problem is that the 1/2 that was paved was the left lane and this caused a height difference "ridge" of approximately 1 - 2 inches of asphalt between the two lanes (of course I was in the right "low-side" lane). This wouldn't have been a problem if I could have stayed in the lane I was in... but once into the paving area all cars had to merge from the right to the left lane. Speeds on this road were about 40 miles per hour and on a normal motorcycle this would have been scary enough! On a chopper (let alone a wide rear tire) it was one of the scariest things I have had to do. In the moment before the transition I tried to slow down as much as I could in the "bumper to bumper" traffic, gripped the handlebars firmly, and then once there was an opening in the traffic to move over I tried to make the "cut" at as sharp of an angle as was possible. Let me just say that "I made it" but it was really an unstable situation for a few seconds. It made me remember why Driver Education schools teach you that "if your tire goes off the road... stay off the road and slow way down... and then sharply turn back on when there is a safe margin to do so" and that is in a 4-wheel CAR! I think that was the closest I have come to "going down" on a bike in over 20 years... so, I am writing this down so I don't forget. When you have to cross over and onto a ridge that is running parallel to your path of travel: Slow down as much as possible (I didn't do this enough). Get a large safety margin between other traffic (Wait for a large opening). Get a firm grip on the handlebars. Try to cross-over the ridge at a strong angle (don't try to ease up on the ridge). I didn't do any of these things very well and it almost ended in a crash. For me, my biggest mistake was #1... so next time I am faced with this I will be sure to slow down much more and get a better angle on the ridge. Ride safe! Ron

The secrets of a been there done that success junkie and what it has to do with you and your success

Dear Chronically Frustrated Entrepreneur, If you've been going from guru to guru learning how to be the 'next big thing'; If you've been downloading ebook after ebook trying to unravel the 'secret key to the Vault of Success'; If you've been attending seminar after seminar and reading tons of books till you encounter Brainfreeze trying to decipher what makes successful people successful ... ... You're not alone! I've been there before and I know how frustrating it feels to spend countless sleepness nights trying to learn the path to success from the truckloads of success gurus out there. I've attended countless seminars, read countless books on success and downloaded countless ebooks that are now collecting digital dust on my hard drive. I know how you're feeling right now. You see my friend, success isn't just about hard work. It's about working hard and working smart. At one point in time, I was also feeling really down in the dumps as it didn't seem as if I was getting anywhere nearer to the 'promised land' of the moolah. I was pretty much at my wit's end and was constantly pulling my hair out in chronic frustration. Then I found the missing link. I found that to become successful, you need to model a successful person. The age-old adage that 'Success breeds Success' is really true! 'Yah ... Big deal ... I already knew that' I can literally hear lots of you having that above thought going through your head even as you're reading this. Let me clarify what I mean. Many people, including myself in the past, thought that attending seminars and reading books on success is already modelling. But most people don't realise that you can't effectively model a successful person just by attending his seminars or reading his books! The only effective, time-tested and proven way to model a successful person is to follow him around as he conducts his day-to-day dealings and have constant, thorough access to his time, guidance and knowledge. Sounds simple enough right? But there's just one tiny little catch ... Most successful people charge the sky for their time, coaching and guidance. And even then, you may not get dedicated time and access to them! The high price of this coaching and guidance is often enough to make most people reconsider the investment in the guru's time. I guess I was a little luckier in this aspect. Due to my business dealings and my sincere desire to learn from the best, I was able to network with and be directly mentored by two businessmen who are already successful in their own right. One was a very enterprising young businessman who set up a company right from scratch in Sunny Singapore. In less than 5 years, this company grossed more than USD 60 million in sales and was able to expand to more than 10 countries across the Asia Pacific region. He plans to list his company on the Singapore Stock Exchange in 2007 and he even has his sights set on the New York Stock Exchange in 2010. He has been honoured in various countries for his contribution to the business climate and people of those countries. My second mentor comes from an entirely different background. Currently in his mid-40s, he was already comfortably retired due to his astute business acumen and capable corporate skills. He hails from the Banking industry and at the very young age of 29, he was already the CEO of an American Bank. In his corporate career till date, he has brought no less than 36 companies to a Public Listing on various Stock Exchanges across the world. Needless to say, he was already a multi-millionaire by the time he was in his late 30s. Being able to be directly mentored and guided by these two successful businessmen has opened my eyes to the tightly-guarded world of highly-successful businessmen. I was able to learn how they think, strategize and react to various business situations ... I was able to observe them as they went about closing business deals with ease. I was literally able to tap into their brilliant minds to learn the coveted topic of success. Even better, through my two mentors, I was able to meet and learn from other highly-successful millionaires. My conclusion? Nothing beats being able to learn in real-time and in the real world from highly-successful people. I finally understood the immense benefits Napolean Hill (author of the timeless success classic Think and Grow Rich) had when he interviewed 504 successful people. From all the knowledge I've been fortunate enough to gather and learn from my two mentors and their business partners, I've distilled everything into bite-sized chunks of information and knowledge. I've taken pains to put together all these knowledge into a simple, clear and concise format that everybody will be able to understand. Best of all, where possible, I also include action steps that one can take to propel him to the next level of success. 'But Terence? Why are you doing all these? Is there a catch to it? Is all these knowledge for free?' For thoses of you who may be wondering why I'm taking the effort to compile all these knowledge, my answer is simple. I was fortunate enough to be able to learn from highly-successful people. And all these knowledge was gained without me investing a single dollar. My mentors easily charge thousands of dollars per hour for their business consultation. I cannot but stress the value of all the information they have shared with me. I know of many out there who want to learn how to be more successful but may not have the financial means to attend seminars or invest in self-improvement books. I want to make what I term as Success Knowledge accessible to anyone and everyone who desires to make a difference in their lives. I want everyone to be able to use this knowledge to prosper and achieve their dreams. Call me idealistic but I believe the more people become successful, the better the world we live in will become. And yes, all these knowledge will be made available for F-R-E-E After reading what I will be posting in the coming days and weeks, some people will cry foul at why I'm making available such jealously-guarded, ground-breaking and money-making knowledge for free. Armed with such powerful knowledge, you'll start attracting wealth like a ten ton magnet! Don't ask me to put a price to this knowledge I'm about to share with you. There is no price to success ... And no, I don't intend to charge anything for this knowledge. I believe in making the world a better place and these articles are my contribution towards this cause. It is my sincerest wish that everyone who reads my articles take whatever knowledge I'm about to offer and go forth to prosper. Whether you are looking to succeed in the Corporate world, in your own business or in various other industries, it doesn't matter. This knowledge will give you an extra edge over the competition. If you find what I have to share beneficial and useful, all I ask is that you drop me an email or comment to let me know. I'd be most grateful. And if you know of a friend who can benefit from all these knowledge, do refer them to my articles and I'd be most honoured. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride ... Success isn't just about the destination ... It's the journey as well. Carpe Diem ... Seize the day! Terence Tan terence@terencetan successjunction. blogspot

The secret power of words

If the best way of communicating with prospects and existing customers was through sign language, we’d all have to learn to sign. Or if the best method of communication proved to be some kind of mutually understandable code, we’d all have to learn that code in order to say anything. Thankfully, our communication process is much more simple…or is it? A sales person has the benefit of meeting his prospect face to face, and will be able gauge his pitch according to visible response signs displayed by his prospect. An experienced salesman will instinctively know from the facial expressions and body language of his prospect, whether he’s hitting the right buttons. This is usually indicated by the prospect’s head nodding up and down combined simultaneously with a beaming smile and wide-eyed appreciation. A telesales person has much less to go on. They can only judge response to their sales pitch through the prospect’s answers to questions and the actual tone of their voice. Most telesales people find their job easier when they try to imagine the look on their prospect’s faces while they’re talking to them. But, the deciding factor will almost always come down to the tone of voice deployed by both parties. The Internet and Direct Mail Marketer have no such advantages over their prospects. They can’t see them and they can’t hear them. Their only weapon in their armory of sales pitches is their written word. How we communicate through our written words holds the absolute key to successful selling online and offline. Whether it’s a sales letter, an email or ad, the written words must convincingly convey the sales message directly into the prospect’s mind. But first, you have to get your prospects to actually read your message, and usually this very first hurdle will claim many, many casualties. Getting someone to read your sales pitch will almost certainly depend on your headline. Your headline is your introduction. Your ‘hello’, your ‘hey you’ and your ‘listen up’. If your headline doesn’t grab the attention of your prospect within two seconds, it’s goodbye and farewell. Other important aspects of a ‘killer’ sales message are sub-headings. Sub-headings are generally used to maintain interest throughout the copy. But they’re also included for the benefit of prospects that first scan your message before deciding to read it in full. To some degree, they’re almost as important as the headline itself. Then there’s the body copy. It’s here that your copywriting talents and skills should really shine through. Here you have the opportunity to use any words in the English language to describe and explain in fine detail, the benefits and features of your product or service on offer. And the English language is positively rich in adjectives, so there can be no excuse. But the real secret to creating captivating copy is to use ‘sense’ words. That is, words that arouse the senses. Touch, see, smell, taste and listen is what we instinctively do every day. They represent our human survival mechanisms and for the most part, we trust them. Other mammals rely on them totally. When you use sense words in conjunction with emotionally fuelled trigger words, you can elicit all kinds of responses, which can be carefully channeled into the heart of your message for maximum impact. Harnessing words for profit in this way is a skill, and it’s a skill that every online and offline marketer needs to fully comprehend. Learning to write outstanding and emotionally charged sales copy is not an essential requirement for business success, but recognizing the effectiveness is. Never underestimate the secret power of words.
